Emotion, energy, passion, sweat - ever since attending my first concert, live music has fascinated me. That moment of communion between musician and audience, that moment when the whole venue feels as one and gravity is overcome... that’s what I strive to capture. To be there and take pictures of these glorious moments is my passion.
I'll never forget the first concert, that I covered for a newspaper: the incredible Humble Pie - it was the year 1974!
Over the years my photographs have been published in newspapers (Blick, Zürichsee Zeitung, Südostschweiz, Kronen Zeitung, Münchner Abendzeitung), in magazines (Q UK, Weltwoche, Classic Rock Russia, Music@), in books (Angelique Kidjo, Kraftwerk, Ten Years After), CD covers and booklets (Status Quo, Gotthard, Flower Kings, Greg Ridley) as well as displayed in museums (Boston Children's Museum; Musical Instrument Museum, Phoenix AZ; Nottingham Contemporary, UK) and I had the opportunity to work for companies as UBS and Migros.
Another highlight was joining Deep Purple as their tour photographer in 2017.
